The Haveli originally built 90 years ago , is an architectural marvel , where the ancient structure has been restored to blend the old world charm with modern day hospitality, The interiors are interestingly reminiscent of old mythological times where there are balanced tones of tranquility and comfort.

Haveli Hari Ganga was the personal residence of Maharaja of Pilibhit. The residential rooms were designed keeping in mind the fact that they would be used by the Royal family itself or by the personal guests of the Maharaja as only guests of equal status to the Maharaja would be invited to spend the night in the Haveli. Most of the rooms are decorated with antique arabesque, regal beds made of stone , matching upholstery . These rooms have now been refurnished keeping in mind their original decor. All modern facilities, including air conditioning, have been installed. The rooms of Haveli have witnessed history being made.During the days of the Raj they hosted the high and mighty. Even today they retain their unique flavour and provide guests with an unforgettable experience. The rooms of Haveli Hari Ganga have been painstakingly renovated and refurnished. To ensure that the rooms retained their original character, the team of interior decorators worked with a set of photographs taken during the Lalit-Hari era as their guide line. The team ensured that the rooms provided all the basic amenities, required by the modern traveler. All modern amenities, including air conditioning, running hot and cold water,  televisions, telephones etc. were provided without disturbing the original look of the rooms.

The most sacred river of India is the Ganges, which Hindus literally believe flow from heaven to earth for the purification of all whom its waters touch. To the Hindu the Ganges is divinity in the form of a river. Originating high in the Himalayan mountain range, the Ganges emerges on the Indian plains at the holy city of Haridwar (also called Gangadwar–the Gateway of the Ganges). The Kumbha-mela is held here every twelve years. Any bathing in the Ganges is considered supremely purifying and meritorious, but the most auspicious place in Haridwar for the sacred bath is known as the Brahma Kund (also known as Hari-ki-Pauri). Every night at about 6:00 p.m. there is worship (arati) of the Ganga at the Brahma Kund. The arati-worship consists of an elaborate ritual of offering large lamps to the Ganges accompanied by the loud banging of ceremonial songs, the playing of musical instruments and the singing of hymns in praise of the Ganges.
