By Road:
Alpine Club is located at a convenient 330 km drive from New Delhi. The route passes through Hapur bye pass-Moradabad bye pass-Rampur-Rudrapur-Haldwani-Kathgodam-Jeolikote-Nainital. The drive takes seven hours from Delhi and one can avoid the morning rush at towns enroute if one manages to leave Delhi by 6 am and arrive at Alpine Club by noon.
By Train:
The Ranikhet express from Old Delhi Railway station departs at 10 :40 pm and arrives at Kathgodam by 5: 30 am. A short 27 km drive from Kathgodam in a hired vehicle takes you to Alpine Club in a hour.

Strategically located at a 10 min drive up Mallital from the Naini Lake, Alpine Club springs into view on the Raj Bhavan road near the highest point on Ayarpatta hills. Straight out of a fairy tale, the red Swiss chalet stands out of the dense green oak forest. Numerous walks from this location lead to view points and birding areas, notable among these is Kilbury (4km). A short drive to Pangot (30km) takes you to yet another area rich in avian life.
